Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Salary Status: DOE FLSA: Non-Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Reports to: MNT Supervisor   Job Overview: Maintenance Technician will perform or assist in executions of minor repairs that might include the following: carpentry, plumbing, interior painting, refurbishing, repairing and cleaning of the building. The MT will maintain ancillary equipment and production machinery. The MT will perform tooling setup, processing, process troubleshooting and mold maintenance. The MT will assist the Leads and other personnel in assigned tasks as needed.   Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during all shifts and all relating matters are managed while using the company resources in line with the Health and Safety policies. 
  • Daily, weekly and monthly inspection of equipment, documents findings.
  • Maintains PM schedule for machinery and downstream equipment.
  • Record keeping on repairs, maintains maintenance logs and repair orders.
  • Oversee all assigned work is conducted in a safe and timely manner.
  • Repair building systems and utilities as assigned.
  • Change-out of equipment to accommodate new product runs when requested or when necessary.
  • Change-out of molds and tooling, start up and processing of all molding platforms.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ensure that lock-out/tag-out is utilized when equipment is being repaired or is not functional.
  • Maintain parts inventory for emergency repairs.
  • Maintain and organize parts inventory and keep the maintenance work area clean.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Mechanical ability i.e., familiarity with tools and machinery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal/written.
  • Must be committed to the success of the entire organization.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Must be self-motivated, with ability to work both independently and in a team with constant changing priorities.
  • Forklift experience required. Must provide current proof of certification.
  Physical Requirements: Requirements include, but are not limited to:  
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl.
  • Will require repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
  • Work environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions. 
  • Working outdoors may be required depending on projects.
  Education/Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of experience in similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, welding, mechanical and plumbing repair is a plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
