Your Purpose

MSC Cruises is hiring a Trade Events Specialist. Based in Miami, FL, this role is responsible for planning and executing a series of key MSC Cruises trade events to include but not limited to sales trade shows, inaugural events, sales meetings, industry events, and Advisory Board Meetings. Coordinates with executives, corporate counterparts leveraging assets, tools, etc., shipboard personnel and land-based personnel as well as travel partners for all events and activities from creative stage to final execution.

This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week in the office, in Miami. 

Your Impact

  • Supporting all trade events, engaging our B2B audience. This includes:
    • Supporting the Trade Event Manager in highest impact events
    • Leading mid-level events with team support as needed
    • Onsite support, which may include travel, and some evenings and weekends.
    • Supporting a range of events including tradeshows, meetings, dinners, cocktail parties, partnership events, onboard events, etc.
  • Leading trade sales launches and road shows by working with the B2B sales team and various vendors throughout the U.S. 
  • Leading promo item ordering project and shipping logistics.
  • Supporting PO Process/ budget monthly invoice reconciliation
  • Support on Ship Tours as needed
  • Supporting the Trade Engagement channel when needed 

Your Journey so far

  • Event coordination experience – 1 year minimum
  • Education: Certified Event Planner certification and/or bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours beyond regular business hours including nights and weekends
  • Handling of materials up to 40 lbs. is required on a somewhat frequent basis.
  • Basic understanding of B2B marketing and engagement tools such as PowerPoint presentations, emails, and social media.
  • Experience working with various necessary vendors and contacts for complex events.
  • Microsoft Office suite skills- PowerPoint, Forms and Excel are a must.
  • Cruise industry or travel / hospitality experience a plus
  • Marketing/engagement experience a plus
