Job Description

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Test Engineer - eMobility. 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $ 90,000 a year.

* This role requires working on-site M-F at our Marshall, Mi location.  

What you’ll do:

Job Summary
Eaton’s eMobility Division is currently seeking a Test Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Marshall, Michigan facility.

The Test Engineer supports product development and validation activities by developing and executing test procedures, supporting test setups and fixture development, collecting and analyzing data, and troubleshooting test issues in the lab. This role works closely with product engineering and lab personnel to improve test capability, repeatability, and documentation across mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities 

• Develop, execute, and document test procedures, profiles, and laboratory reports. 
• Support test setup, fixture development, instrumentation, and data acquisition activities. 
• Partner with product engineering to translate requirements into effective test methods and setups. 
• Execute testing in accordance with approved plans, lab procedures, and safety requirements. 
• Analyze test data and communicate results and recommendations to engineering teams. 
• Troubleshoot test equipment, instrumentation, and setup issues with guidance as needed. 

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications :

•   Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related controls degree from an accredited institution .  

•   Minimum of  1 year of experience in an automotive, electrical, mechanical, testing, or engineering environment. Co-op/Intern experience acceptable towards experience.•   Previous experience supporting  an engineering, research, or manufacturing organization.

Preferred Qualifications: 

•  Product Electrical and Mechanical background/experience

•  Previous experience in Automotive/Vehicle, Aerospace, or Industrial Automation sectors.•  iTest/CANape/LabVIEW data acquisition and controls experience•  Knowledge of Test Lab Equipment typically found in Engineering Product Testing Research  Labs•  Experience developing and analyzing data acquisition and control systems•  Effective communication  English skills ( verbal, written).•  Significant Technical Writing•  Significant Relationship building
