Description

General Job Summary: As a physical therapist assistant with OrthoCincy, you will be responsible for treating patients according to a treatment plan established by the physical therapist on your team. You will also be collaborating with team members to assist patients with a full recovery after surgery or injury.

Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program 
  • State license to practice as a physical therapist assistant   
  • CPR certification    

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to state practice act 
  • Maintain state licensure and complete continuing education regularly to stay current on the practice of physical therapy to best serve our patients
  • Treat patients in need of skilled physical therapy services with proper documentation to support medical necessity of treatment under the direction of a licensed PT
  • Facilitate open communication with physicians, co-workers and patients to provide the best comprehensive care possible for the community we serve
  • Participate in chart audits and review of care plans with colleagues to facilitate best practices within our organization

ORTHOCINCY

OrthoCincy is an orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine physician practice that offers complete orthopaedic and sports medicine care at 13 convenient office locations across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The practice consists of 45 board-certified/eligible physicians specializing in general orthopaedics and a variety of sub-specialties, and offer in-office X-ray, MRI, and physical therapy services. The Edgewood and Eastgate locations feature an Orthopaedic Urgent Care that is designed to treat urgent orthopaedic injuries and conditions without an appointment. The Orthopaedic Urgent Care is open Mon-Fri 9am-9pm, and Sat 9am-1pm. No appointment is required, and Walk-Ins are welcome. A visit to the Orthopaedic Urgent Care costs less than an ER visit.
