Are you passionate about finance and eager to make a meaningful impact? UPMC Corporate Finance is looking for a dynamic Financial Analyst, Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in documenting and analyzing financial projects, helping to shape the financial future of our organization. This position will be based out of the US Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will have the potential to work from home with a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week at home and 2 days per week in office.

Purpose: As a Financial Analyst, Associate, you will conduct or assist in the documentation of simple to moderate financial analyst projects, providing valuable insights and support to our finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the process of completing quarterly and annual statutory filings for external regulators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare separate audited financial statements for each regulated company, maintaining the highest standards of financial reporting.
  • Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in various financial systems.
  • Review costs and conduct cost-benefit analysis related to projects and programs.
  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist in analyzing financial data, extracting, and defining relevant information to interpret past financial performance and project future financial probabilities.
  • Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
