JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing and Sales Intern will support the strategic efforts of the Marketing and Director of Events team in driving partnerships, marketing initiatives, social media campaigns, events, and customer engagement opportunities. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in sales, marketing, hospitality, or the gaming and entertainment industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnership & Client Support:

  • Assist with research and outreach to local businesses, convention groups, and tourism organizations.
  • Help coordinate meetings and maintain records of partner interactions.
  • Support the preparation of presentation materials and proposals.

Marketing & Event Coordination:

·         Collaborate with marketing to support promotional efforts and event planning.

·         Participate in the coordination of events and group visits.

·         Help develop and distribute marketing content tailored to various customer segments.

·         Aid in social media development and deployment.

Administrative & Reporting:

·         Assist in preparing analysis needed

·         Support data entry and analysis to track performance metrics and ROI of initiatives.

·         Help maintain organized files and documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in sales, marketing, or event planning within the entertainment or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM tools a plus.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain a Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming License.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field, advanced degree preferred.
