About the Role:

As a Nutritional Tech, you’ll help prepare and deliver meals to patients. This includes putting together meal trays, making sure everything is correct, and delivering them on time. You’ll also stock and clean patient galley areas to keep things organized and sanitary. In this role, you’ll work with the dietary team to make sure patients receive the right meals and that food service areas stay clean and running smoothly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Able to stand, walk, and lift during shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a kitchen, hospital, or food service setting.
  • Familiar with basic food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and deliver patient meal trays accurately and on time.
  • Keep patient galley areas clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Stay aware of any diet changes or updates to help meal service run smoothly.

Skills:

The skills needed for this role include the ability to stay organized and pay attention to detail when putting together patient meal trays. Basic communication skills help when working with the dietary team and following instructions. Being able to keep areas clean and stocked is important for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. Time management is also helpful to make sure meals are prepared and delivered on schedule. Being reliable and able to follow simple processes will help you do well in this role.
