Purpose:
This Technician will perform basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned small agricultural and turf equipment. The Service Technician – Lawn & Garden/Small Ag Equipment Mechanic is categorized as such because he/she has learned the basic skill sets to grow into a successful and competent technician. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gain the knowledge and experience necessary to work within the framework of the Hutson Service Business Model.

Time Management: Effectively manages time and workload, ensuring tasks are completed within expected deadlines. Prioritizes repairs and balances routine maintenance tasks to meet company standards. Effectively communicate with the service office when faced with obstacles and delays.
Diagnostic Aptitude: Demonstrates technical expertise in diagnosing equipment issues accurately and efficiently. Utilizes diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and experience to identify root causes of malfunctions, minimizing downtime. Continually updates knowledge to stay current with evolving technologies and industry standards.

Productive Revenue: Productive Revenue measures how effectively a technician converts available working hours into billable dollars on retail, agreement, internal, or warranty work orders, while minimizing idle time or non-revenue activities such as sundry work orders.
Labor Performance KPI Definition: Understands labor performance metric and how to achieve the target, tracking and demonstrating ownership of labor performance. Labor performance meets the identified target percentage of ≥85%.
