Mechanical Designer: Washington, DC   Job Description: OTJ is looking for an entry level Mechanical Designer. This role focuses on the planning, design, and execution of mechanical systems for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects. This position is ideal for early‑career professionals looking to develop hands-on experience in mechanical systems design.   Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (preferred)
• Assist with the drafting of Mechanical and Plumbing Systems associated with Construction Documentation.
• Assist with developing internal load calculations using Trace 700 Load Calculation Software.
• Asist with the development of outside Air/Ventilation Calculations.
• Assist in coordination with architects, structural, civil, and MEP engineering teams throughout design development and construction.
• Participate in field observations at various project sites around the DMV area.
• A successful candidate is proactive and able to remain flexible while delivering high quality work in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• 0-3 years of experience in the Mechanical Engineering field
• Excellent oral and written communication skills: outgoing and personable
• Highly motivated, creative and collaborative
• Must be organized and attentive to detail
