Since 1993, T2 Utility Engineers has provided professional surveying and mapping for acquisition and mapping of 3-dimensional spatial data in support of plans and preparation for construction of roadways, subsurface infrastructure, commercial and private land developments. Using advanced technologies including GPS, laser and LiDAR scanning, MCGPR, UAS (drones), our team of field technicians, surveyors, and engineers capture quality data and provide professional insight to help our clients visualize, plan and design their projects. Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality information, professional insight and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety and set the standard for the engineering industry. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Loading and unloading survey equipment and supplies each day 
  • Clean andmaintainsurvey equipment such as: GPS, Total Stations / Robotic Total Stations, levels, etc. as directed by the instrument operator
  • Learn the operation of survey equipment; total stations, data collection devices, GPSequipmentand digital/automatic levels
  • Setting up surveytri-podsto providebacksiteand foresight operations 
  • Cutting line 
  • Perform safety set-up and flagging operations under the direction of Survey Crew Chief
  • Assistwith daily vehicle pre-checks, cleaning, and completing truck sheets 
  • Assistwith monthly survey equipment inventory
  • Support Subsurface Utility Engineering services asrequired
  • Other duties asrequired

Tech I Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid driver’s license andgood drivingrecord
  • Ability to use standard survey equipment as instructed; training will beprovided
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to2 weekcontinuous stay
  • Outdoor work in all climates
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only)
  • Ability to stand and walk onsmooth and uneven terrainfor extended periods of time
  • Ability tolift 50 lbs.andperform physical activities toinclude bending,squatting, etc. related to carrying andoperating survey equipment and other tools
  • Must have goodoralcommunication skillsand attention to detail
