Job Description

The Production Clerk position is responsible for warehouse and production administrative functions covering a combination of some or all of the following: 

  • Maintain accurate production records & complete production confirmations/consumptions in SAP daily, including closing production orders

  • Assist with the cycle count process, complete cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies

  • Recording plant metrics and or key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Monitor and maintain min/max levels, reorder points, & safety stock levels for maintenance, safety & operating supplies.

  • Purchasing production and maintenance consumables in purchasing software

Essential Functions

  • Complete daily production confirmations (TECOs) in SAP for process orders. Investigate and or resolve consumption errors.
  • Prior to SAP job closure, review operator data entry to ensure accuracy of raw materials consumption and production cycle time (line events). Enter data in to SAP.
  • Troubleshoot operator SAP data entry errors, investigate barriers to job closure, etc.
  • Assist with the creation and entering of cycle count documentation in SAP.
  • Perform cycle counts on the plant floor, including weighing material, and documenting weights.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for operating, safety and maintenance supplies.
  • Effectively utilize purchasing software (Coupa) to purchase non-BOM materials, maintain vendors and maintain accurate pricing.
  • Own, manage, and improve upon production CANBAN systems for inventory management.
  • May assist with updating and maintaining production training records.
  • Manage time and communication via Microsoft Outlook.
  • Other duties as assigned.
