Milwaukee Mobile Crisis Intern

Job Summary: This internship is a minimum of 2-3 semesters, with a minimum of 16 hours per week. The Milwaukee Mobile Crisis Intern position is a member Milwaukee Mobile Crisis team. Milwaukee Mobile Crisis team engages in community-based services which provides mental health crisis intervention to callers of all ages on the Milwaukee County Crisis Line while strongly focusing on responding in person throughout Milwaukee County to assess, stabilize and link individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The interns will function as part of a multidisciplinary team that provides crisis assessment, stabilization, linkage, and follow-up services over the phone, in person, face to face, and in the community seven days per week.
The Milwaukee Mobile Crisis team is an interdisciplinary group made up of social workers, nurses and licensed counselors who respond to all community mobiles in pairs of two. The team intervenes with individuals of all ages in a variety of setting throughout the county including homes, schools, businesses, hospitals, and police stations.

NOTE: This position is unclassified and not subject to Civil Service Rules and Regulations. This original application is open to qualified candidates authorized to work in the United States. Appointee must establish Wisconsin State residency within six (6) months of appointment and maintain such residency during incumbency. Hourly Pay Range: $14.17 - $21.25
