The Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh seeks candidates to fill a position as a Visiting Lecturer specializing in History and Philosophy of Medicine for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Required Qualifications: (1) A PhD or ABD status in History and Philosophy of Science, Philosophy, or a closely related field expected by the proposed start date, and (2) evidence of teaching experience.

Responsibilities:  Undergraduate teaching (Three sections of the Medicine and Morality and three sections of Mind and Medicine, over the course of the year. These sections are capped at 35 students each.) Regular departmental duties.
