Job Description

Job Purpose

The Transportation Specialist ensures that the transportation needs of all FCC Behavioral Health clients are met in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. This role supports daily transportation operations through coordination, scheduling, communication, and documentation while maintaining compliance with agency standards and certifications.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Two (2) years of related experience, preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, with primary proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs.

Core Job Duties

  • Process client transportation requests through the MTM-Link portal and assign trips to appropriate drivers within required timeframes.
  • Process trips, claims, and other required documentation in the MTM-Link system.
  • Collaborate with the Transportation Coordinator to align driver coverage for daily routes, one-off trips, and MTM transportation, utilizing shared resources when possible.
  • Update and maintain driver schedules as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Promote teamwork, safety awareness, and proper housekeeping practices.
  • Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models. 
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately. 
  • Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care. 
  • Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Other job duties and special projects as assigned.

FCC Behavioral Health is a private, non-profit, certified community behavioral health organization. Our team works closely with individuals to provide a wide range of services promoting recovery and wellness. We work with individuals of all races, creed, gender, disability, and sexual orientation and serve 19 counties in Southeast Missouri. Services include mental health and substance use disorder treatment, veteran’s services, peer support, psychiatry, crisis intervention and stabilization, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy, family medicine and more! We collaborate with families, school and healthcare systems, and other networks to create an individualized plan for our consumers. Depending on the service, our team may work with consumers in their home, in the community, at school, or in one of our facilities.
