Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Painter to join our maintenance team. This role is responsible for preparing and applying paint to interior and exterior surfaces, delivering high-quality finishes that align with company standards and are completed within established timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete painting work orders within designated timelines, including apartment turnovers
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, priming, and repairing drywall or surface imperfections
  • Ensure all necessary repairs to drywall, doors, frames, and related hardware are completed prior to painting; coordinate with vendors as needed
  • Paint interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and common areas in accordance with company standards
  • Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality finishes that meet safety and performance standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and clean, safe work areas at all times
  • Document completed work and materials used as directed
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs
  • Travel between multiple properties as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years of professional painting experience (residential or multi-family) - Preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation - Preferred
  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and painting methods
  • Familiarity with painting tools, sprayers, rollers, and related equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Willingness to learn new trades and become cross trained when needed
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet turnover deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve efficiently
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

Additional Information

Location: Waikiki, HI 

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 hourly

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm; on call as needed)
