Job Summary

Performs various hands-on tasks including, but not limited to, material handling, equipment operation, and site cleanup. Uses hand tools, works in confined spaces, and completes duties safely and efficiently as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• General Responsibilities

• Scarf, grind, and weld parts if needed.  
• Band parts correctly on the appropriate sized pallets.
• Shrink wrap small parts as needed.      
• Report damaged parts and repair if needed.
• Rebuild burn table tops.
• Be proficient with mobile equipment
• Strap down rail cars.
• Clean furnace cars.
• Clean up all scale around the mill and furnaces
• Will be required to work in confined spaces

·      Complete quickly and safely to various tasks

·      Use various types of hand and power tools

Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Hand /eye coordination.
• Computer knowledge.
• Operate forklift and crane
• Banding of parts to a pallet
• Operate hand tools grinder, hand torch etc.

Job Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Occasional kneeling / crouching.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Extended periods of time using hand tools.

Work Environment

• Rolling Mill and steel Service Center environment.
• Work in hot and cold temperatures
• Work in noisy dusty conditions.

Monday - Friday 3p to 11p
