Role Statement

Provides rentals service to include, obtain rental equipment, total bill, receive payment, and make change for customers in a knowledgeable, professional manner.

Location

This position will be performed onsite at our store. Remote work is not available for this role. 

Outcomes for Success

  • Determines customer needs and ensures customers are provided with the best products and services to satisfy their needs.
  • Assists in providing knowledge to customer about rentals, including prices and availability.
  • Recommends or obtain rental tools or equipment for customer and sells appropriate add-ons.
  • Total price and tax on rentals selected by customer, using point of sales devise to determine bill; receives payment, and makes change.
  • Prepare minor estimates to be verified by supervising employee.
  • Maintain quality store presentation.
  • Maintain rental items, ensuring they are clean and in working order for the next customer.
  • May keep record of sales, prepare inventory of stock, or order merchandise.
  • Process rental returns and ensure returned items are returned to the proper storage area.
  • Assist customers with any problems or concerns they might have.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission, markup, and selling price; ratio and proportion, and percentage; to calculate surfaces, volume, weights, and measures. 
  • High School Diploma or GED diploma preferred.
  • 1-2 years of customer and industry experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • This is largely a sedentary role
  • Requires the ability to lift files (up to 5 lbs.), open filing cabinets (up to 5 lbs. of force) and seldom bend or stand on a stepstool as necessary
  • Frequently use hands/fingers to handle or feel (operate, active, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position)
  • Alternating frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting

Wages

Starting wages will be based on years of experience and education.
