2026 Pedro Gomez Foundation and NAHJ Summer Internship, La Voz   The Pedro Gomez Foundation and NAHJ have partnered to offer summer 2026 internships at The Arizona Republic.   The Pedro Gomez Foundation was founded to honor the legacy of the award-winning sports journalist who passed away in 2021. Pedro was a beat writer, columnist and on-air reporter who worked for The Republic before his long career at ESPN.   This internship is for a bilingual student. Successful candidates must demonstrate speaking proficiency in Spanish and English.   Requirements:

• Enrolled full time at a U.S. college or university.
• In the fall of 2026 will be a junior, senior or graduate student.
• Majoring in journalism or communications.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• This role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
