Job Description

Accounting Clerk   SUMMARY: Responsible for conducting daily gaming and/or non-gaming revenue audits.  Prepares journals for input into the General Ledger. Prepares and distributes daily and monthly reports using both P.C. and AS400. Performs daily audits of computerized food and beverage reports. Reviews casino generated accounting documents for compliance with company procedures. Monitors and reports all items that do not fall within sound auditing and/or accounting guidelines. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Responsible for auditing casino related documents.
  2. Reviews casino generated accounting documents to ensure compliance with company, state, federal, and local regulations.
  3. Conducts non-gaming revenue audits and prepares journals for input into the General Ledger,
  4. Prepares and distributes daily and monthly reports.
  5. Performs daily audit of computerized food and beverage reports.
  6. Reviews all documentation to ensure accuracy.
  7. Addresses and researches all related questions.
  8. Reports any discrepancies to the Accounting Manager or Revenue Audit Supervisor.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
  ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES None listed. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.  Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.  This is normally acquired through a high school diploma.  Must have legible handwriting.
  2. Must be able to work on own, without constant supervision. Ability to operate adding machine/calculator and computer terminal.
  3. Must have knowledge of, or the ability to learn, various computer programs.
  4. Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
  5. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  WORKING CONDITIONS Working conditions are normal to an office environment.
