Job Description

InterHealth Staffing is a for-profit staffing division of TGH committed to providing patients with excellent and compassionate care. Positions range from permanent clinical float roles (Full time or Part Time) to Seasonal 13-week assignments with significantly higher base pay. The CT Tech is accountable for performing Computed Tomography procedures, which produce high quality diagnostic films. Works on a level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of procedures for CT, including but not limited to basic portable, fluoroscopy, extremity and chest x-rays, basic computer skills, biopsies, drainage, trauma alerts, core CT, CT advanced level recons, neurovascular CTA , IV skills and QA maintenance. Assists manager with the implementation of policy and procedures, interdepartmental committee involvement and is a preceptor for the department. These procedures require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative when utilizing ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Under the direction of the department manager/Director, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients.  Follows all ACR guidelines and maintains proper radiation dosing to all patients.



Completion of a 2 or more year Radiologic Technologist program in an AMA approved school.  One year or more experience as a CT Technologist preferred.  A working knowledge of the CT equipment is necessary.  Additional on the job training will be conducted.  ARRT; BLS certification, Registered in CT within 6 months of employment.  Must be licensed in the State of Florida.
