Job Description

**Join Our Fun Housekeeping Team! As a housekeeper in our hospital, you’ll play a vital role in creating a clean and welcoming environment for patients and staff. Your work will help ensure that everyone feels comfortable and cared for during their time here. Responsibilities:  

  • Cleans and sanitizes patients' rooms and bathrooms daily.  
  • Disposes of trash and replenishes supplies according to proper procedures.  
  • Moves furniture and other fixtures to dust and mop floor, resets furniture to present an attractive environment for patients and visitors.  
  • Washes walls behind sinks and commodes.  
  • Cleans and disinfects isolation rooms adhering to proper policy and procedures.  
  • Cleans and disinfects ancillary areas. (Utility and linen rooms, nurse's stations, lounges, etc.). 
  • Cleans and disinfects water fountains, sinks in hallways, telephones, and chair rails. 
  • Vacuums carpets and damp dusts furniture weekly in office areas.  
  • Empties trash and uses hand sweeper on carpets daily.  
  • Understands procedures and properly disposes of infectious waste and trash.  

Schedule: 7AM-3:30PM. The schedule will typically work rotating days. This opportunity will complete housekeeping duties in any area of the hospital needed. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. May be pulled to other areas/shifts/days/ at the needs of the Hospital.
