Title: Quality Engineer

Job Summary: 

Interdisciplinary individual working closely with a cross-functional manufacturing team to ensure metrology and quality standards while driving continuous improvement, data/root cause analysis, and compliance. The candidate will support and assist in all quality functions including metrology tasks, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, electrical troubleshooting, and data development. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ability to read and understand test schedule, work orders, test manuals, specifications, wiring diagrams, schematics, and test procedures.
  • Possess the ability to work under minimum supervision, work well with other departments, and lead improvement team efforts.
  • Troubleshooting of electrical measurement equipment and perform rework where required
  • Maintains Test Equipment Database and be Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, and Excel. Familiarity with Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint is a plus.
  • Coordinate and perform calibration on a variety of electrical and mechanical items to support production and testing. Organization, prioritization, and efficiency are critical to ensure compliance with calibration requirements while also supporting production.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for various processes, equipment, and material deviations
  • Coordinates all activity for test equipment work and parts procurement with vendors
  • Knowledge of commonly used procedures, practices, and concepts within an operational organization using ISO 9001 practices and follow safety policy and procedures
  • Assist with regulatory audits and compliance
  • Works with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results, and to resolve problems. Including corrective actions, material review, and new product development

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience, ideally in a technical field; will consider equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Experience working with technical documents and procedures
  • Experience with electrical test equipment and software
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical equipment

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of lean six sigma, PFMEA, and ISO 9001
  • Experience in automation/scripting
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work both in teams and independently with limited supervision while using effective verbal and written communications, time management, and problem-solving skills.
