Front of House – Barista 
Full-Time

Arsicault Bakery, a San Francisco original since 2015, known to have one of the best croissants in the Bay Area and beyond according to the news outlets such as Bon Appétit, KQED, CNBC, TripAdvisor, NBC Bay Area, SFGate, etc. is growing! Situated conveniently in the heart of San Francisco, our Civic Center location at 87 McAllister Street is looking for Baristas to join our amazing team and grow with our company. If you are an enthusiastic and attentive individual with a cheerful and charming disposition who enjoys helping people, we want to meet you!

Barista Responsibilities: 

  • Greet customers warmly and cheerfully.
  • Thorough knowledge of our menu and ingredients including allergens in order to answer customer questions about our products.
  • Fill pastry orders and make coffee and sandwiches following all health and safety codes for proper handling of all food and drink items.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all front of house work areas including pastry counters, coffee and sandwich making stations, indoor and outdoor customer dining areas and restroom.
  • Restock pastries and other supplies throughout the day such as napkins, pastry bags, boxes, utensils, cream and sugar, cups and dishes, etc.
  • Wipe down and sanitize dining tables when customers leave, and refresh sanitizer bins and empty trash cans according to schedule.
  • Assist with all cleaning duties as stated on opening, closing and weekly checklists.

Barista Requirements: 

  • Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills.
  • A diligent and efficient worker who thrives in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task, problem-solve and adapt to changes.
  • A quick learner with ability to take responsibility and direction well.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand and climb stairs for the duration of the shift.
  • Available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A polite and engaging personality with a commitment to outstanding customer service.

Experience:

  • Food Service or Barista Experience: 1 year preferred

Job Types: Full-time

Benefits:

  • $20hr + tips (between $70-$100 per shift)

Shift:

  • Only one shift per day (7:30a.m. – 3:30pm)

  • Food Handler Certification (Required)
Salary: 20 - 20.01 USD Per hour
