This position works under the guidance of experienced electricians to support production uptime, safety, and continuous improvement of electrical systems. Key Responsibilities Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across the facility Support troubleshooting of electrical issues involving motors, control panels, conveyors, and automated systems Learn to work with three-phase power systems, motor controls, and PLC-controlled equipment Assist with running conduit, pulling wire, and wiring electrical panels Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime Follow all lockout/tagout procedures and safety policies at all times Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping standards Assist in identifying root causes of equipment failures and reporting findings to senior electricians Respond to production issues and support repairs in a timely manner QualificationsQualifications High school diploma or GED required (technical training preferred) Strong interest in pursuing a career in industrial electrical work Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to use hand tools and electrical testing equipment (or willingness to be trained) Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, climbing, standing for long periods) Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed Preferred Skills (Not Required) Exposure to industrial or manufacturing environments Basic understanding of electrical systems or coursework in electrical technology Familiarity with tools such as multimeters or power tools Work Environment Industrial sawmill or manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, dust, noise, and heavy equipment Requires standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working at heights or in confined spaces
