Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the Spire network spans the Northeast with more than 165 physicians, 1,800 employees, 285 other clinical providers and 40 locations in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.  What you’ll do:   Responsibilities/Duties:   Answering and triaging incoming calls.  Check in patients for their appointments (verify insurance information, referrals, demographics, etc).  Covering charts (last office note, diagnostic test results, lab results, etc).  Verify insurance eligibility.  Collect copayments and outstanding balances (batch and balance at end of day).  Verify that all test results and office notes are available for the patient’s appointment.  Bring patients to exam rooms if needed.  Cover co-workers’ vacation/sick/personal time.  Perform closing tasks (stay with a co-worker until the providers are finished) in the office once every other week.  Other duties as assigned by managers and leads.  QualificationsWho you are:  Qualifications:   High School diploma or GED Required.   One-year medical office experience.  Health care receptionist experience preferred.  Knowledge of HIPAA and other regulatory policies.  Knowledge of Insurance regulations, policies, and procedures.  Knowledge of medical office procedures, policies, practices and medical terminology.  Knowledge of electronic medical systems is a plus, including Athena/Centricity, Medi-Tech and the like.  Telephone protocol and professional etiquette; strong communication skills, verbal and written.  Extensive customer service experience.  Proven ability to multi-task.  Computer skills, being proficient with Windows based software.  Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly, professionally, and efficiently.  Ability to represent our organization in a professional manner.  What we offer:   Excellent growth and advancement opportunities   Dynamic environment   Access to a diverse network of practitioners   Broad infrastructure of tools and programs to enhance the employee experience      Competitive Compensation   Generous PTO    Benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.   We are an equal-opportunity employer.
