The ideal candidate will have a passion for inquiry-based science education and the ability to engage and inspire students.  ACES Chase Academy is currently expanding to a 6-12 school: candidates excited to be a part of an innovative, expanding program, including opportunities to teach high school, are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons that align with state and national standards. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry-based learning. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and engage students in the learning process. Assess and evaluate student performance using a variety of formative and summative assessment tools. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities. Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance the science curriculum. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in science education. Establish and maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives and programs.     Qualifications  Valid Connecticut state certification in K-6 (305) or science education in Biology 4-12 (030), Chemistry 4-12 (031), or Physics 4-12 (032).  Physics Certification can result in high school teaching for the 2026-27 school year. Strong knowledge of current science education trends and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Demonstrated proficiency in using technology in the classroom. Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.
