We're looking for motivated candidates to fill the role Laboratory Technician in our office located in Washington, DC. Competitive starting pay based on prior experience, and $500 signing bonus! This is a great starting role in the engineering and construction industries!

Responsibilities:

· Assisting in processing concrete test cylinders (stripping, logging, and curing).

· Assisting in performing compressive strength testing of concrete test cylinders.

· Calibrating field testing equipment.

· Maintain field equipment inventory.

· Report laboratory testing results to the project team verbally or in writing.

· Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects, as needed.

· Support a clean, safe, efficient laboratory environment.

· Successfully complete necessary certifications (company-paid) to perform laboratory testing tasks.

o Pay raises will be provided for successful completion of certifications!

Qualifications:

· High School degree or GED equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Geology a plus)

· Valid (ACI, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, etc.) certifications are a plus and will result in higher starting pay!

· Ability to meet pre-employment criteria, including motor vehicle record.

· Possess good oral and written communication skills.

· Ability to perform basic mathematic computations.

· Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds.
