Description

As a Retail Associate, you’ll be the friendly face customers look forward to seeing! You’ll help identify what they need, answer questions about our products and services, and recommend solutions that make their day easier. If you enjoy working with people, have a positive attitude, and like solving problems on the spot, you’ll thrive in this role.
You’ll also collaborate with our internal teams to keep the store running smoothly, from stocking shelves and merchandising displays to sharing helpful feedback with our purchasing team. Your insights will help make sure our shelves are filled with exactly what our local customers are looking for. 



Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers with a smile and help point them in the right direction
  • Share accurate info about our products, pricing, and services
  • Help them compare features and prices so they can make the best choice
  • Suggest helpful add-ons or other products they might love
  • Handle returns and exchanges in a smooth, friendly way
  • Check customers out using our point-of-sale system and assist with order pickups
  • Manage online orders and provide every customer with accurate and exceptional service, closing out their experience with prompt follow-up
  • Obtain Gear Expert® level knowledge of product lines and internal procedures


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A background of customer service or sales experience
  • Fluency with technology
  • Excellent personal, as well as written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Autonomous decision-making and problem resolution skills
  • A construction or industrial background is not required, but advantageous for you
