Job Description

UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago is seeking a compassionate and skilled CFC Behavior Specialist to support children with behavioral and emotional needs in foster homes and community‑based settings. This position focuses on implementing effective behavior interventions that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes while ensuring compliance with DCFS standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Assess behavioral needs and develop individualized behavior plans
  • Implement and monitor behavior interventions and crisis response
  • Coach and support foster families and staff in behavior strategies
  • Participate in psychiatric medication reviews and monitoring
  • Maintain accurate documentation, data collection, and reports
  • Provide on‑call crisis support as needed
Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related human services field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in behavior analysis
  • Bilingual (verbal and written) required
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License with proof of insurance
  • Ability to obtain DCFS CERAP and 402 Licensure within 6 months
  • Ability to obtain First Aid, CPR, and CPI certification within 30 days
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely perform physical interventions during behavioral crises
Schedule & Environment
  • Full‑time, primarily Monday–Friday with flexibility
  • On‑call availability required
  • Office, home, and community settings
