Pay: $29.14 - 35.15/hr depending upon experienced and certifications
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Certified Applicants

About the Role

Intermountain Health is hiring a Specialty Technologist in Training (CT) or a fully trained CT Technologist to join the Imaging team at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.

For caregivers enrolled in a CT registry program, this role provides structured, on-the-job training designed to build both clinical confidence and technical expertise. You’ll work alongside experienced CT professionals while gaining the hands-on experience needed to successfully transition into a registered CT Technologist role.

Specialty Tech in Training Scope

  • Works a minimum of 80% of time training in CT
  • Must obtain the applicable CT registry within one year of moving into this position (if required)

What You’ll Do (Job Essentials)

  • Verify patient identity and imaging orders; prepare patients for exams, including assistance with contrast administration
  • Position patients accurately using a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology
  • Perform CT exams following established department protocols and transmit complete exam data for radiologist interpretation
  • Evaluate image quality in real time and make necessary adjustments to ensure diagnostic-quality images
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning, calibration, and maintenance; identify and report equipment concerns
  • Adapt imaging techniques based on patient age, size, and medical condition
  • Support department operations, including inventory management, quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining clean workspaces
  • Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards for patients and self
  • Follow all policies related to documentation, consents, medical necessity, and coding/charging
  • Actively pursue continued learning, professional growth, and new procedures within CT
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training from an ARRT-approved school
  • BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Current State of Utah Radiologic Technologist License
  • ARRT Radiography certification and eligibility to sit for the applicable CT registry
