Job Description

Are you passionate about helping others succeed, especially in managing behaviors and building life skills?

Starkey is hiring Behavior Support Specialists to work in our Day Support Program on our main Wichita campus.

In this role, you'll support adults with disabilities who may experience challenging behaviors, using positive behavior strategies in a structured, daytime program environment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide behavioral and daily support to adults with disabilities in a day program setting
  • Implement behavior support plans and encourage positive choices
  • Teach social, communication, and coping skills
  • Assist with personal care and daily routines as needed
  • Engage individuals in structured activities as well as participate in fun community outings and activities.
  • Work closely with a supportive team to help individuals reach their goals

This is hands‑on, meaningful work where your patience and consistency truly matter.

Schedule & Location

  • Daytime hours (Typically M-F 8:00am-4:00pm)
  • Main campus Day Support program
  • No overnight shifts

Pay

  • Starting at $16.50/hour

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or WorkKeys Bronze Certificate
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings
  • Availability for 2–4 weeks of PAID training (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm)

Optional: Bilingual in ASL or Spanish (not required)
