The Assistant Tank Wash Manager supports the Tank Wash Manager in overseeing daily operations, supervising team members, and ensuring the department meets its goals. This role plays a key part in maintaining high quality cleaning methods, safety practices, environmental compliance, and customer satisfaction.


Duties and Responsibilities:


•Support the planning, organization, and coordination of daily operational activities.
•Supervise and assist team members to ensure productivity and quality standards are consistently achieved.
•Enforce compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
•Ensure high-quality service delivery to customers.
•Oversee the proper use and management of equipment.
•Ensure strict adherence to the maintenance program.
•Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the tank wash and equipment.
•Collaborate with the Tank Wash Manager to address service-related issues and employee-related issues.
•Monitor service levels at the tank wash to ensure optimal performance.
•Respond promptly to customer concerns and resolve issues effectively.
•Promote understanding and consistent application of company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
•Implement decisions; may make operational decisions within set boundaries.
•Delegates tasks to team members as directed by the Manager.
•Serve as acting Manager in their absence.
•Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements


Education and Experience:
•Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
•1 year of related tank wash management experience
•Background in supervising staff and ensuring performance standards


JOB DESCRIPTION

Preferred Qualifications:
•Fluency in more than one language is advantageous
Essential Qualifications:
•Thorough understanding of DOT, OSHA, and RCRA regulations is required
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and more
•Experience using Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration
•Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
•Proven ability to organize, analyze, and solve problems effectively
•Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
•Strong verbal and written communication capabilities
•High level of attention to detail and accuracy
•Demonstrated commitment to customer service, ensuring timely and effective support

Physical Demands:
•Regular verbal communication and active listening are essential functions of this role.
•Physical activities may include standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching with arms and hands, and occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
•Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
•Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color perception, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
•Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Work Environment:
•The position typically operates in a tank wash environment with extreme swings in temperatures inside and outside.
•This position routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and file cabinet.
