Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, inspection, sterilization and distribution of sterile instrumentation and equipment. They will work collaboratively with other departments to ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available for procedures. They will be knowledgeable in sterile processing standards and serve as a patient safety advocate.

Available Opportunities:

  • Full-time, 1 FTE (40 working hours), day shift
  • Part-time, 0.8 FTE (32 working hours), variable shift

Required Qualifications: 

  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, Or
  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Sterile Processing and Distribution or, 
  • Coursework/Training: Surgical Technician. 
  • Previous experience in Sterile Processing or knowledge of surgical instrumentation.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
