Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in delivering patient care aligned with individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, activities, and assistive techniques to patients to improve mobility.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and safe mobility practices.
  • Document treatments and patient responses accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, clean environment during all sessions.
  • Travel to patient homes or care facilities to provide convenient and personalized therapy services.
  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or certification as required by state law.
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with mobility and perform therapy tasks.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various patient locations within the service area.
