Job Description
HonorHealth is looking for a Medical Assistant to work in Occupational Health at the Power road location. This is a clinic setting that treats worker's comp injuries, exposures, mask fittings, new hire health assessments and immunizations. Occupational Health is a very fast-paced environment that supports HonorHealth Employees, Medical Staff Members and Volunteers. This team of RNs, MAs, and Advanced Practitioners are highly productive, professional, and works very cohesively while using their strengths in ways the team can thrive and give the best care possible. The team has a highly innovative growth strategy and blends Occupational Health with the needs of the Community.
The ideal candidate must meet the minimum requirements of a HS diploma/GED, current Basic Life Support (BLS) card and completion of an approved training program OR completion of an unapproved training program and successfully passes the medical assistant examination administered by a certifying organization accredited by either the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute as described by the Arizona Administrative Code (Chapter 16 – Arizona Medical Board - R4-16-401 and R4-16-101) OR completes a United States Armed Forces medical services training program.
