Job Details

The Central Processing Technician is an essential member of the Laboratory services team conducting all patient and new hire lab testing.

Responsibilities:
• Clerical duties to include answering phones, filing and the mailing and faxing of patient reports.
• Preparing specimens to be sent out for reference lab testing.
• Outpatient and new employee blood drawing.
• Handling, labeling and processing of all specimens.

Requirements:
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of hospital, federal, and state patient safety, infection control regulations and guidelines.
• 1-2 years recent phlebotomy experience required.
• HS Diploma/GED Required.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Must have transportation to report to our off site patient service center to draw bloods.



Salary Range

USD $23.73 - USD $35.60 /Hr.
