Job Description

JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for finding the correct parts and bringing the parts to the area they will be worked on or assembled throughout the day.   Responsibilities include:
  • Handling parts carefully
  • Delivering required parts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Filling orders given to them/ keeping accurate part counts
  • Delivering raw materials to various machines as needed
  • Help unload trucks and put materials away
  • Additional items as assigned by manager
  PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY This position interacts with shop supervisor, receiving coordinators, and other employees around the shop.   COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must work safely and follow all shop safety rules
  • Fork lift operation
  • Effective communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Adequate math skills; add, subtract, multiply

  EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  EQUIPMENT USED This position uses a fork truck, measuring tools, hand dollies, calculator, and various lift assisting devices.   WORKING AND PHYSICAL CONDITIONS This position will work on the manufacturing floor and some lifting, climbing and kneeling are required.
