McDaniel Supply Company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Site Manager to support daily commissary operations within a detention facility. This role assists the Site Manager in ensuring accurate inventory management, staff training, operational continuity, and compliance during day-to-day operations and staffing transitions.

Requirements

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise, train, and schedule commissary staff; coordinate with the Regional Site Manager for operational support as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant commissary office and stockroom
  • Serve as the primary liaison between McDaniel Supply Company and facility management
  • Process, transmit, and manage commissary orders to ensure timely and accurate inmate order delivery
  • Manage on-site commissary inventory, including ordering, receiving, verifying, and rotating stock
  • Retrieve, reconcile, and process funds from company kiosks; manage deposits and payment releases
  • Respond to inmate grievances within required timelines in accordance with policy
  • Attend required meetings and complete all company and facility-mandated training
  • Safely operate company vehicles for business-related tasks, when applicable
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and excellent customer service at all times
  • Maintain a strong partnership with facility staff. This includes regularly communicating, collaborating, and promptly addressing concerns. Consistently represent the McDaniel brand by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and modeling our core values.

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while following established procedures and timelines
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (no violations within the past three years)
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a detention or correctional facility preferred, but not required

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday day6:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.) Friday (7a.m. - 12p.m.)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary - $41, 600 - $45,760
  • Paid bi-weekly.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, which may include health, dental, vision, paid time off, and other company provided benefits

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely and effectively perform all essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and applicable federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity expectations.
  • Consistent and punctual attendance
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
