Now Hiring: Solar Panel Installer

Location: Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are currently seeking an experienced Solar Panel Installer to assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and other structures. This role requires hands-on expertise working from site assessments and schematics, including measuring, cutting, assembling, and securing structural components, as well as performing minor electrical tasks when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install photovoltaic (PV) systems in accordance with codes, standards, and schematics
• Assemble solar modules, panels, and support structures as specified
• Apply weather sealing to arrays, buildings, and support mechanisms
• Install interconnect wiring and ensure safe array shutdown during installation
• Determine construction layouts and installation sequences for efficiency
• Identify electrical, environmental, and safety hazards
• Review blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
• Inspect electrical installations for proper wiring, grounding, and terminations
• Test system voltages and ensure proper operation of inverters and controllers
• Identify and resolve installation or material deficiencies
• Select optimal installation locations based on orientation, solar access, and structural integrity
• Perform visual inspections and testing of PV systems
• Install required system labels and documentation
• Conduct routine maintenance on modules, arrays, batteries, and related equipment
• Maintain records of system performance and maintenance
• Perform photo and video-based inspections
• Enter job data and images into the installation management system

• This position is based in Houston, Texas, so applicants should currently reside in the area or be able to reliably work locally.
