Company Description

The Medical Assistant works as part of the health care team by assisting the practice physicians and APPs in providing high quality care in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will be energetic and able to remain focused in a busy atmosphere while delivering a high level of customer service.

Job Description

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast placed, patient- care driven clinical environment
  • Demonstrates high reliability through consistent punctuality and attendance
  • Escorts patients to exam rooms
  • Assist Physicians with exams, procedures and administering medications
  • Assist patients with questions abut medications and wound care
  • Prepare necessary surgical dressing and instruct patient in post-operative wound care, such as dressing changes and use of medications
  • Take telephone message; provide feedback and answers to patient/ physicians/ pharmacy calls
  • Schedule laser/ cosmetic procedures for patients as needed
  • Administer local anesthetic, remove sutures, and assist with various surgical or cosmetic procedures as directed by provider
  • Clean and restock examination room

Qualifications

Requirements: 

  • • 1-year Medical Assistant experience required; dermatology preferred
  • • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • • HIPPA and OSHA regulations

Job Type:

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday
  • One Saturday a month 

Salary: 

  • Pay rate starting at $18/hr
