Job Overview

Here at Fairview, our St John's Hospital CT department is growing and adding state-of-the-art CT Siemens Force scanners to support the expansion of our cardiac imaging services, making this an exciting time to join a department that's investing heavily in advanced technology and clinical growth! This opportunity is ideal for a Technologist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys staying actively engaged through their shift.

We are excited to welcome a CT Technologist to join our high-performing imaging team at St John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work on the night shift, Monday through Friday with no weekends! Schedule is subject to change to support department need.

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus that is prorated based on experience.


Responsibilities

  • Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
  • Performs high quality examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately
  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam

Required Qualifications

  • Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year or more years of experience in a related role
  • Previous ambulatory care experience
  • Additional certifications in Imaging
  • ARRT CT certification or successful completion within 1-1/2 Yrs
  • Strong interpersonal skills
