Job Description
Madison Regional Health System is seeking a full-time days with occasional night shift Nurse Assistant to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.
Our Nurse Assistant is an essential part of our Medical team and is responsible for performing routine and non-routine duties as directed by the nursing staff. This may include, but not limited to: answering call lights promptly, giving AM/PM care to patients (including baths, shampoo, oral care, personal hygiene, shaving, nail care). Prepare patients for meals, assist with meals, take and record vital signs, measure intake and outputs, ambulate patients, give backrubs, reposition patients in and out of chairs. Assists patients on admission, transfer, and discharge. Reports change in patient condition. Makes frequent rounds and observes patients and completes required documentation in EMR. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. CPR certification is required.
The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, odors, and dust. Will be working with a variety of medical equipment including, but not limited to: Foley catheters, Noninvasive B/P monitors, commodes, urinals, EZ lift, whirlpool lift, thermometers, room lifts, wheelchairs, beds, and scales.
Nurse Assistant positions at Madison Regional Health System are flexible! We offer 12-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend. As part of a team, we have a day, night and holiday rotation to balance your home life. You will have a unique opportunity to build your skillset by working in various departments such as medical, surgical, and areas. Full and part-time positions are available.
Full-time positions come with Madison Regional Health System's benefits package and a competitive salary. MRHS offers retention pay to individuals who have worked at the facility for greater than one year. Madison Regional Health System employees receive a discount at the on-site cafeteria. Shift differential occurs 6pm-6am Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays.
