Job Description

Summary

Evaluates, touches up and reworks surface mount and through-hole printed circuit board assembly solder joints. Adjusts and operates semi-automatic and automatic component preforming equipment.


Essential Job Duties

  • Checks and repairs printed circuit boards for solder and assembly defects using the workmanship standards as a guide concerning the quality of boards
  • Sets up and operates semi-automatic and automatic preforming equipment
  • Verifies the quality of the pre-forming and adjusts as necessary
  • Requires the ability to plan and perform a sequence of operations, and the making of general decisions as to quality, tolerance, operation and set-up sequence

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Ability to work with small hand tools
  • Critical thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Good interaction, communication skills with customers at all levels
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal communication skills with all levels of internal and external contacts
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships

Work Environment

  • General factory conditions including noise and dust
  • Must be able to don PPE including hearing protection, safety boots, or glasses where required in the on-site manufacturing areas.

Physical Abilities

  • Required to use close vision and be able to focus.
  • Occasionally lift, or carry, or lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to sit, stand, and bend at the knee and waist, and walk.
  • Must have finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to work with wire crimping machinery
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
