Job Description

Position Summary:

The Customer Billing Representative supports the Billing team by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. Helps clients with billing questions and submits Insurance claim paperwork.  Facilitates month end Statement processing.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

•    Communicate effectively with Clients and Doctors. 

•    Enter mailed check payments into Practice Management System.

•    Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents. 

•    Facilitate delivery of certified collection letters to USPS monthly or as needed.

•    Facilitate deposits runs including electronic Check depositing and trips to company bank for cash deposits.

•    Assist with internal billing. 

•    Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.

•    Sends correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.

•    Communicating with clients that have overdue balances.

•    Generating monthly billing statements.

•    Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.

•    Managing assistant in matching ambulatory payments to invoices.

•    Manage payment Que.

•    Manage unassigned payment report.

•    Manage Missing invoice report pulled from schedule. 

•    Assist Veterinarians in completing requested insurance paperwork for equine patients. 

•    Performs other related duties as assigned.

Related Duties and Accountabilities:

•    Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.

•    Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.

•    Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.

•    Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.

•    Performs other duties as assigned.

Our medical facility in Saratoga Springs, Utah houses 64 stalls in addition to multiple private exam rooms, surgical suites, recovery rooms and an Intensive Care Unit. Ambulatory and out-patient services are also provided. Our on-site Reproductive Center boasts 100 additional stalls to provide full-service mare care with foaling out services and a robust recipient mare herd. Stallion services can be tailored to entail breeding season management or haul-in. A satellite clinic at Heritage Ranch in Farr West, Utah features an underwater treadmill to assist in equine rehabilitation and conditioning, a reproductive center and medical clinic. From pasture to performance, our expertise touches all aspects of equine health, wellness, and reproduction.
