Day Care Assistant Teacher – Help Shape Young Minds Every Day!
Are you passionate about working with children and creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment? Join our team as a Day Care Assistant Teacher, where every day is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child’s life.
In this role, you’ll support the Day Care Teacher in providing high-quality care, fostering creativity, and encouraging learning through play and structured activities. If you’re energetic, patient, and love helping children grow, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Do
- Create a warm, welcoming, and positive environment for children and families
- Assist with engaging lesson plans, including art, science, and hands-on activities
- Support children one-on-one and in small groups to strengthen learning and confidence
- Help maintain a safe environment in the classroom, on the playground, and during outings
- Encourage participation in games, crafts, and educational activities
- Provide additional support for children with special needs
- Promote positive behavior and guide children with patience and professionalism
- Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (babysitting counts!)
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine love for working with kids
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to stay organized and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
This is an active role! You’ll be moving, playing, and engaging with children throughout the day. Responsibilities include standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs regularly), and maintaining awareness in a busy, energetic setting.
Work Schedule
Our daycare operates 7 days a week, 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM to support Casino employees.
Evening and weekend availability is required.
