Mountain Valley of Cascadia is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our award-winning team. Nestled in the heart of North Idaho, our facility is known for delivering exceptional care while fostering a supportive, team-first culture.

In this role, you won’t just be another nurse—you’ll be a valued leader, advocate, and essential part of a team that truly makes a difference in the lives of our residents every day.

All employees must successfully complete state-specific background check requirements prior to working with residents/patients.

What You’ll Do


Provide Exceptional Care

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in a skilled nursing/long-term care setting 
  • Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes 
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that support long-term wellness 

Lead & Support Your Team

  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to ensure safe, effective care delivery 
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment 
  • Serve as a clinical leader and resource for your team 

Ensure Accurate Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with all regulations 
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, and family members 
  • Complete all required documentation, including assessments, physician orders, progress notes, flowsheets, and consents 

Medication Management

  • Safely administer and document medications, including post-admission doses 
  • Monitor for effectiveness and adverse reactions 
  • Maintain narcotic records and coordinate medication orders 
  • Complete physician order reviews and initiate therapies as ordered 

Clinical & Emergency Response

  • Respond quickly to changes in resident condition 
  • Initiate emergency interventions and perform CPR when needed 

Stay Compliant & Professional

  • Follow all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards 
  • Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act 
  • Maintain punctuality and reliability 

What You Bring

  • Current, active RN license 
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills 
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred) 

Licensure & Certification

  • Current RN license in the state of employment 
  • Valid CPR certification 

Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in long-term care preferred
