Job Description

Hours: Full time, 30-40 hours/week

Shift Lead

The Shift Lead rocks the customer service specialist role and brings some scent-sational leadership to the team. You’ll lead with enthusiasm, assist in managing store employees, and make sure everyone is following the company’s policies and procedures. Above all, you’ll be dedicated to ensuring a stinkin’ awesome customer experience!

What You’ll Do

  • Provide scent-sational customer service by creating a welcoming environment, assisting customers with their needs, answering questions, and resolving customer concerns.
  • Keep the store smelling like roses! Tidy up restrooms, cooler interiors and exteriors, parking lots, fuel islands, equipment, food service areas, shelves, and storage.
  • Keep merchandise from getting skunky, ensuring items are stocked, faced, and priced correctly.
  • Manage vendor, warehouse, and fuel deliveries, ensuring everything is in order.
  • Create, submit, and edit supply orders, keeping inventory stocked and ready to rock!
  • Assist in onboarding and training, and sniff out ways to engage and motivate the team.

What You’ll Need

  • Ability to learn new concepts and stay organized, maintaining a high level of attention to detail while multitasking (there are a lot of moving pieces and skunks headed in every direction!).
  • Solution focused thinking- You get 5 minutes to complain, and then we solve problems and kick tail!

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age. (We don’t make the rules… or law)
  • Must consent to and pass a background check.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior customer service experience in a retail setting.
  • You don’t need to be an Olympic athlete, but you do need to be able to balance on a step stool or step ladder, lift up to 50 lbs., and work from floor to eye level.
  • Able to work in a cooler at an average temperature of 32 degrees (hey, at least it’s not Antarctica).

Stinker was founded in 1936 by Farris Lind. The first station was located in Twin Falls, Idaho. By 2011, the company grew to 65 retail locations spanning nearly 700 miles across Idaho. The largest expansion yet, was the purchase of Bradley Petroleum in Colorado and Wyoming in 2017.
