Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing – $45–$50/hr | Full-Time | New Hampshire

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (TODHH) for a school-based position in New Hampshire for the 2026–2027 school year.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced educators and recent graduates who are passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments in an inclusive, student-centered educational environment.

Position Details

  • Job Title: Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (TODHH)
  • Location: New Hampshire (Onsite)
  • Schedule: Full-Time (35–40 hours/week, 5 days/week)
  • Pay Rate: $45–$50/hour (consistent weekly pay based on scheduled hours)
  • Setting: Public school / special education
  • School Year: 2026–2027

Teacher of the Deaf Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessible learning environments
  • Use American Sign Language (ASL) and/or other communication modalities as appropriate
  • Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), special education staff, and related service providers
  • Support development of communication, language, and academic skills
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Utilize assistive technology and adaptive strategies to support student access
  • Communicate regularly with families and caregivers
  • Advocate for student needs and promote inclusive educational practices

Qualifications

  • Valid New Hampshire DOE Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing Certification
  • ASL (American Sign Language) proficiency / certification
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Deaf Education or related field
  • Experience or interest in special education, deaf education, or hearing impairment services
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and instructional skills
