Adoptions Specialist
The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a dedicated and motivated full-time Adoptions Specialist to join our team and work Thursday through Monday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, at our Sunnyslope Campus. A Day in the Life
At the Arizona Humane Society, our Adoption Specialists are experience makers! From creating online pet profiles to drum up interest in the pet to greeting our potential adopters and escorting them through our kennels to assisting in the matchmaking adoption process, they aim to provide a consistent, positive, and excellent experience every time! In this role, you will effectively assess the needs of potential adopters and match them with pets most suited for their lifestyle and preferences while educating them on their chosen pet(s) known history including all medical and behavioral insights we have acquired during their time in the shelter. Ensuring the adopter is educated about the pet's needs, including the recommendation of supplies in our retail store to start them out on the right foot is also an essential part of this role.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold, and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors, and dander.
