Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 / hour

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Mill Operator performs milling operations for various products at the direction of management. Essential functionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
  • Transfers product to cleaning bins as needed.
  • Supervises cleaner operation and addresses minor troubleshooting issues.
  • Assists with unloading/loading hopper trucks.
  • Transfers split beans and feed from mill area to holding bins as necessary.
  • Assists in the bagging room as needed.
  • Assists in loading/unloading semi-trucks as needed.
  • Helps guide and train new personnel.
  • Empties tare bins.
  • Facilitates mill changeover operations.
  • Maintains the mill area to remain clean and well organized.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on milling machinery
  • Monitors and adjusts milling machinery to meet quality and customer standards
  • Communicates with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs.
  • Complies with company safety policies and maintains clean and orderly work area and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures, including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


WHAT WE NEED

MUST-HAVES:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills including touch screens
  • Forklift Certification
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment.
  • Effectively communicate questions, problems and reports to co-workers, supervisory and management personnel.
  • Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.

NICE-TO-HAVES:
  • 1+ years of milling experience

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Frequently (more than 75% of time) required to: stand and/or walk, use ladders and climb stairs, bend and stoop, reach, push/pull, kneel and crouch. Lift, carry and/or move items up to 100 pounds, without assistance; use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, to verbally communicate; and to hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Frequently exposed to a non-climate controlled environment. 
  • Frequently (more than 75% of time) exposed to dust and loud noise. 
  • Frequently (more than 75% of time) exposed to machinery and mechanical, moving parts. 
  • Personal protective equipment, such as hearing protection, safety glasses, hair net and food safety related items, is required.
